Yaroalavl, a capital of Golden Ring Russia, became a world sports arena for a few days. That was the 11th time than The International Gymnastics Tournament “Yaroslavskaya Vesna” took place here. For 10 years of tournaments more than four thousand gymnasts took part is this event.
The event took place in the sports complex Atlant on the eve of City Day and determined the concept of celebration, which went on under the slogan “Festival Yaroslavl”.
The main aim of tournament was supporting and popularization of children and young people sports.
The tournament was organized with the support of regional authorities and sponsors. The Repharm company was a co-sponsor of the event.
Participants and Committee of Judges
400 gymnasts aged 5 to 20 from the 12 countries all around the world like Azerbaidjan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Italy, Great Britain, Korea, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukrain etc. and 20 Russian regions took part in this competition.
Gymnasts artistry has been estimated by Merited Coaches, International qualified Judges. Among them there was trainers of Russian famous gymnasts, Olympic silver medalist Irina Chaschina and Double Olympic Champion Eugenia Kanaeva. The Chief Judge is Merited Coach, The President of the Panel of Judges of Russian Federation, International qualified Judge, Russian Gymnastic National Team Trainer Natalya Laschinskaya.
Competition program
On the first day of competition there was opening ceremony, where took part the head of the region Dmitry Mironov. In his welcoming address he noticed the rising importance of this sport event and necessity of its supporting and developing.
25 May an extensive entertainment program was prepared for the participants and their guests. On the last day of tournament the finals held and the celebration finished with the colorful awarding ceremony.
The winners were defined in the team and personal categories in different statements and ages. Besides cups, medals and certificates, sportsmen were awarded with sponsors prizes.
It should be noticed, that taking part in the “Yaroslavskaya Vesna” competition is not only possibility to compete and get the Winners Prize, but to have a chance on the further sports career. The trainers from Olympic-level Training Centers select sportsmen for their further development
